shawl design 101 at vogue knitting live
This is a two-part class. Both sections of the class will automatically be placed in your cart when you select one of the sessions. Classes occur from 1-3pm winnipeg time (2-4pm eastern) on both Friday the 19th and Saturday the 20th.
Find your inner knitwear designer in a supportive learning atmosphere. Over two 2-hour sessions, you will learn basic shawl shapes, design math, why gauge swatches are important even for accessories, and where to find inspiration and how to store it for dry spells.
sustainable fashion: get into action!
Spend the day with Manitoba Council for International Cooperation at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights (CMHR) and explore fashion’s true costs, learn sustainable ways we can move forward and discover inspiring local leaders in the sustainable fashion movement.
make on the lake retreat
join me and other talented local makers for the make on the lake retreat, hosted by long way homestead, purl & hank, ferme fiola farm, and bear & bunny yarn. stay for the weekend at beautiful hecla resort and enjoy the relaxing atmosphere and fun classes. i’ll be teaching ice dyeing (on wild silk scarves!) on saturday afternoon.
