fires are cleansing, and in the wild often a necessary force of destruction to allow for fresh growth. the cinders left after the dramatic flames are just as important a part of this process, because they hold the potential for future burnings. tiptoeing between ashes and fresh fuel, cinders may have just enough energy to light again, passing the flame along to fresh burn piles to start the regeneration process over.
