the forage collection digs deeper into canada’s fibresheds by highlighting multiple players within each region through a combination of interviews and accompanying patterns. the inaugural collection focuses on upper canada fibreshed. my interview with laura can be watched here.

get your leafy greens in the form of weeds that grow in your garden or yard. sorrel leaves can be chewed raw or cooked, but watch out for a sour taste if you nibble them straight after picking them. maybe stick with spinach instead, and leave the sorrel foliage for your socks.

these minimalist socks feature a mirroring lace pattern and textured ribbing, allowing the focus to remain on the gorgeous natural yarn you knit them with. twin oaks farm blends their romney wool with mohair from a nearby farm and gets the yarn milled a short drive away, making this an ideal sock yarn alternative for anyone (especially those in the upper canada fibreshed) looking for a no-nylon option.
