ME-MADE WARDROBE NOTES

the folklore shawl has already made its way into my wardrobe. made with roots flock and taproots, you can still snag an advent calendar to make it with these same colours.
a few woven wool shawls dyed with locally grown dyes are still available, and i’ve been living in mine.

ON MY NEEDLES
i’m knitting myself a cardigan with roots dyed with black knight scabiosa - no pattern this time! it’s been a delicious process not needing to pay attention to every single stitch count change.
also knitting a pair of the chariot socks using a skein of twin oaks all-natural sock yarn dyed with tango cosmos.

DYE POT NOTES
i’ve been dyeing haphazardly and in spurts, partially for holiday markets and partially for my art installation.

#BOSSWITCH NOTES
the shop update included the return of some favourites plus new goodies. also the lack of certain favourites due to ongoing supply chain issues. running a small biz is extra exhausting right now, but i’m finding fun moments and glimmers of inspiration.
i’ve got one holiday market left this weekend and a couple of remaining meetings and then it’s time for a much-needed holiday break. things will be quieter/pre-scheduled over the yuletide/new year’s period.

achilee tales are a new short story collection i’ve added to the creative coven community. they’re coming out bi-weekly and are written to inspire your handmade wardrobe/kitchen witching/herbalism/natural dye adventures. we’re enjoying some yuletide stories right now as i finish up this first series.

WITCH LIFE
i’m singing a lot. and crying a lot. not necessarily related, but it’s all good grief.
i’m debating shifting this section for 2024. i’m reevaluating how much i want to share online again as i look at everything and how i want this business to function and feel. might be replacing it with an “art” section to highlight progress on my installation… we’ll see.
the community is the best place to find my favourite things, from recipes to tutorials to book recommendations.

nothing to report in this moment, but i’m planning on making some festive pieces during my holiday break that i’ll share in the new year.
