kołysanka is the polish word for “lullaby.” sweet just like its namesake, this shawl features a classic all-over lace stitch for its main body and is finished off with a nice thick border of squishy garter rows. depending on how much you want to open up your lace, your final measurements may be slightly larger than the ones listed in the schematic. that's ok, it just means extra coziness for you to curl up in and have a good nap. słodkie sny!

needles: US 7 (4.5mm) 32” (80cm) circular needles, or size needed to obtain gauge

yarn: 750 yards (687 metres), 300g of dk weight yarn*

sample shown uses harrisville designs’ nightshades (80% american cormo/20% american wool, 250 yards [229 metres], 100g) x 3 skeins in last call

*note: due to the lofty nature of the suggested yarn, it’s a good idea to grab an extra skein just to be on the safe side so you don’t have to play yarn chicken. use any leftovers for a pair of fingerless mitts or a cute hat!
